UN Women programs in over 100 countries worldwide are working to accelerate gender equality through five focus areas - ending violence against women and girls; ending poverty through enhancing women’s economic empowerment; responding in humanitarian crises; increasing women’s leadership and political participation; and ensuring women’s inclusion in peace making processes and negotiations.
