Story

I'm proud to be joining Team Tommy's in the London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge to support Tommy's continue their vital work saving babies' lives.

After having 3 happy, healthy, energetic boys, I know how lucky we are that we have a positive story to tell. With the twins being high risk and a month premature, there could have been so many different outcomes. I myself was 3 months premature and my parents were told I wouldn't survive, then I wouldn't walk or talk, then I'd never match up to my peers. This was a good few years ago mind but again my story could have been so much different. Tommy's do such great work researching premature births (1 of many of their great causes) and if we can all just give any spare change to this great cause we can make such a big difference to reduce those other outcomes and make sure more parents get their happy ending.

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes. Please support me to take on this world first challenge, owned and organised by Tommy's. To give you an idea of the impact of your donation:

£100 could fund a scientist, at one of our ground-breaking research centres, for a day.

£1,000 could help fund Tommy's Net for 6 months, which is a database where we gather clinical trial results to identify risk factors and develop better care for parents.

£3,000 could pay for 12 consultation sessions with Prof Alex Heazell, Director of our Stillbirth Research Centre in Manchester.

Thank you!
