Rockinghorse Peacehaven Cliffs Abseil · 13 September 2025 ·

Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 50 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. The charity fundraises for items for every child's treatment, from toys to life-saving equipment.

Story

We are fundraising for the amazing Rockinghorse Children's Charity, a Brighton-based organisation dedicated to supporting sick and disabled children throughout Sussex. This charity does incredible work, providing vital support and resources for babies, children, young people, and their families. They assist at The Royal Alex Children’s Hospital, The Trevor Mann Baby Unit, and numerous specialist children's wards and baby units in the region.

Since 1967, Rockinghorse has made a remarkable impact, helping nearly a million children with lifesaving medical equipment, family support, creating nurturing environments, and funding additional staff.

To contribute to this noble cause, both Nicki King and I will be taking on the daring challenge of abseiling 115ft down Peacehaven Cliffs on the 13th of September. It's no small feat, but we are excited to take it on for such a deserving cause.

We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping us hit our fundraising target. The money we raise will go toward funding vital projects that make a real difference in the lives of sick babies, children, and young people across Sussex. Every contribution, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference.

Thank you in advance and wish us luck!!!
