Now, those of you who know me know I love a mountain, but the Welsh 3000s is something I probably have no business attempting! Fifteen Welsh mountains in one day, 50km and 3800m elevation gain in total. It will be a killer.

Many of you will have heard me mention the challenge over the past eighteen months and, mainly due to disorganisation and a fear that I will publicly fail, I hadn’t planned on doing it for charity.

HOWEVER, on my way to research the end of the route recently (which I’ll definitely be doing in the dark) my car broke down at the top of a very steep hill in the middle of nowhere, where the lovely staff at Idlewild Animal Sanctuary went out of their way to help me.

So I thought, what better way to thank them than to raise money to support the wonderful work they do!
