Why "Not quite the London Marathon 2026 that I had hoped for"?

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page for such an amazing cause.

I was super excited to be successful in gaining a place as part of Team London Marathon 2026 in support of Hope House and Ty Gobaith Children's Hospices. I set out on getting some miles in the legs in autumn 2025.

But after suffering pain in training, some rehab and eventually a scan it seems my knee has other ideas. With my newly diagnosed torn meniscus my marathon dreams, for this year at least, are over.

But Ty Gobaith still needs funds and my wonderful sponsors so far have remained loyal. So we will continue the fundraising throughout 2026 as Supertemps adopts Ty Gobaith as it's Charity of the Year.

Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith care for babies, children and young people who have life-threatening conditions and are not expected to live beyond 18 years of age. They do amazing work and both hospices are truly amazing and inspiring places which have supported so many young people and their families at the most difficult times of their lives.

Over the coming months I'll no longer be pounding out the miles, but we will continue to raise funds however we can, for a fantastic cause. Please be a part of my journey and any donation, however large or small, would be awesome ....
