As you all know I am a passionate open water swimmer which has led me to be just as passionate about teaching swimming, so level water is a charity that is close to my heart. I hope that you feel my swimming challenges are worth sponsoring to help this charity teach disabled children to swim.

I completed the 2026 Bantham Swoosh which is a really lovely event where you swim down a river in Devon with the out going tide, you have to pay attention at the end as you might be swooshed past the Finnish. It was an exciting day so decided to do it again next year.

I am also about to go to France on another swimming adventure so have decided to share the story to get my just giving account off to a good start.

My Friend Jharna and I are going to swim the length of Lake Annecy. It is 15km or a bit over nine miles. It should be a very beautiful swim if the weather is kind to us.

Next summer I'm swimming the 6km Bantham Swoosh & Boomerang in South Devon, one of the UK's most iconic open water events. The route follows the stunning Aune Estuary through the private Bantham Estate, finishing on one of Europe's most beautiful beaches. In the final stretch, the tide will carry me at four times my normal speed. It's beautiful, demanding and unforgettable.

I'm swimming for Level Water, a charity that funds one-to-one swimming lessons for children with disabilities. 36% of disabled children are isolated from physical activity, and for many, swimming is transformative. Last year alone, Level Water funded 50,000 adapted lessons across the UK.
