Emma and I are running the Newport Half Marathon 2024 for Brain Tumour Support, in memory of our mum, Stella Minett. As you may know, mum died from a brain tumour on 19th November 2022, just three weeks after diagnosis. Since then, the family have struggled to come to terms with our loss, and Brain Tumour Support have been there to support us with their counselling services, so we’d love to be able to enable others to benefit from the same level of support.

Running a half marathon is a significant undertaking for us, not only sentimentally, as mum loved to run, but also physically, as we haven’t been able to run that distance for a good number of years! I have also been recently diagnosed with arachnoid cysts in my brain, which may slow me down, but I’ll hopefully be able to make it around without falling over… wish us luck!!
