Story

OWEN MCVEIGH FOUNDATION - ABSEIL 2024

My son Freddie was only 7 when he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. For the next 5 years he had to put himself in situations he found frightening as part of his medical treatment. It was humbling to see how bravely he faced these things, rarely telling us how scared he was 😞

Despite being TERRIFIED of heights, I am doing this abseil in memory of Freddie. It is important to me to do something which I will find difficult, raising money with Freddie in mind by doing something I don’t want to do, just as he had to.

Just before Freddie died, the Owen McVeigh Foundation gave us as a family some special experiences and life-lasting memories. I would be grateful of your support to help them do the same for other families facing unimaginably tough times.

Thank you ❤️
