A year ago I lost a very dear friend. Nick and I bonded over co parenting, my ineptitude at DIY and his ability to bail me out of sticky situations (blown fuses, jammed camper van trunks etc...).

I've never lost a friend before and immediately after I felt a sense of helplessness and grief. I know many feel this similarly when someone leaves too soon. One year on I feel ready to do something to honour not only Nick but the immense strength of his family.

With the help of my lovely boyfriend Tobi I will be running the Tewkesbury half marathon. For anyone who knows my history of asthma and bronchiectasis they'll know that this will be the biggest running challenge of my life.
