On 26 April 2026 I'm running the London Marathon for Hospice UK.

Being a keen and regular runner for some years I have always had my sights set on running a marathon at some point. Having lost family and friends over recent years, who had periods of hospice care, I have finally committed to running the London Marathon in aid of Hospice UK.

Hospice care eases the pain of death and dying, letting people focus on living, right until the end. Too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.

As the national champion for hospices, Hospice UK supports over 200 hospices across the UK, helping them deliver the best, most personalised care to 310,000 people each year. However, hospices are facing increasing difficulties and immense pressures due to underfunding and persistent squeezing on finances & ressources.
