Story
Last year we did the South Downs; this year, we're doing the Thames Path Ultra Challenge - 13th September .. my stomping ground, where I can be found early in the morning enjoying the wildlife and the quiet of the Thames Path !!
On Saturday 13th September, we will be going a bit further !! all the way past Hammersmith Bridge, Kew Gardens, Richmond, Twickenham and Hampton Court; an iconic walk.
Your donation is just the encouragement we need to succeed, and I ask your help to fund the vital work of the British Exploring Society’s vital work.
Earlier this summer, I went down to Dartmoor to see the Young Explorers in action at one of the first camps of the season. The enthusiasm, optimism and inspiration was on full display, and it was amazing.

British Exploring Society is a youth development charity founded in 1932 by Surgeon Commander George Muray Levick RN, a member of Captains Scott’s final Antarctic expedition (1910-1913).
The core of Murray Levick’s concept - young people preparing for life by developing resilience and confidence through adventure and learning in a remote wilderness in small self-contained groups - remains at the heart of our work.
Your donation will help ensure that more young people can access our programmes and be given the much-needed opportunity to unlock their self-belief.
Take a look at this short video from some of our inspirational Young Explorers sharing their experiences. Thank you.
