Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year I set myself three challenges to raise money for the Esme Orike Foundation, a charity created in memory of my dear friend Charlotte’s daughter, who sadly passed away on September 5th last year from a rare cancer called CIC-DUX4 sarcoma, just one month before her 14th birthday.

Having completed the Cambridge Half marathon back in March, and a 5km open water swim in September, this Sunday, joined by many members of Charlotte's family and friends, I am returning to my home town of Stroud to complete the Stroud Half Marathon, my third and final challenge.

The Esme Orike Foundation was created to fund two powerful purposes: to fund critical research into rare, untreatable cancers like Esme’s, and to provide vital financial support to families enduring the unimaginable pain of caring for a child with one of these rare cancers.
