I'm wearing a different Christmas hat/head piece every day of December up to Christmas day to help raise funds for the PBC Foundation.

I was diagnosed with PBC in 2021 and have used the support from the PBC Foundation to help me deal with the diagnosis. This isn't where my interaction with the PBC Foundation began though. My mum died of complications of PBC disease when I was 11 years old after 4 liver transplants and she had used support from this Foundation back when it was starting out in the 90s. A lot has changed since then. I was so fearful that when I was diagnosed with PBC that I would also suffer the same fate. But so much has changed since then and it's through research and information funded by the PBC Foundation that have helped shape this. If my children end up with a similar diagnosis I hope even more advancements are made to deliver a cure and support from the PBC Foundation is still available to help them through!
