The Lakeland Seven Summits ⛰️

This June I will be hiking to the top of the highest Wainwright of each of the seven ‘Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells’ in one weekend; aiming to bag them within a 48 hour period.

The challenge will involve just under 60 miles of hiking, with a total elevation gain of around 17000ft (5200m).

I will be raising funds for Alzheimer's Research UK in memory of my Grandad who we lost to this cruel disease back in 2020.

If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia - either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both. The mission of Alzheimer’s Research UK is to accelerate progress towards a cure so that one day we can live in a world free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.

Between now and June I will be completing mini-challenges and will be raising awareness of the amazing work that Alzheimer’s Research UK do.

Closer to the day I will also extend an invite to anyone who wishes to join me on one of the summits, to perhaps remember a loved one or for someone you know currently living with this horrendous disease.
