Walk & Talk · 13 October 2024

The death of a parent, at any age, changes life forever and has devastating emotional impact on top of which there may well be financial implications for the family and the bereaved children. The Trust can't replace a parent but can give financial support and take away at least one burden of worry.

Sarah's Memory Walk

Gone far too soon, on 31st May, Sarah passed away. The most important thing in Sarah's life was her children, Francesca and Harrison.

With Sarah's family's blessing, and who will also be joining us, we thought it would be great for family and friends to get together and share our precious memories with a walk and talk event.

At 12pm on 13th October 2024, we will meet at Pontefract Racecourse and walk, run, walk & run, as many laps as you want, and aim to do as many laps as we can together to make Sarah's Police collar number 4425 (maybe 44 and a quarter laps)!

Sarah's favourite colour was yellow so if you are joining us, wear or bring something bright!

There will be a cake stall & raffle - please bring any donations on the day!

All money raised will be donated to The Police Children's Charity.

The Police Children’s Charity is a registered Charity which aims to support Police families by helping to ease the financial pressures of bringing up children in the face of life-changing circumstances. These circumstances could involve the death of the Police Donor Parent or their partner, or where the Police Donor takes early medical retirement. This applies to both on and off duty incidents or issues.

The Charity also provides financial assistance to support the mental health and wellbeing of the children of Serving Police Donors.

You are very welcome to join us and together raise some money for an important charity.
