On 15th June 2025, I'm taking part in the Leeds 10k 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ for a dear friend and colleague, Satpal Singh, who sadly passed away on 20th March 2025 with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), just eleven days after his 50th birthday.

In Satpal’s memory, we’re raising funds for the MND Association to honour him, as he was a kind, warm, and selfless person.

We are a group of colleagues from Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust — mainly from the Digital IT Team, with support from other departments. This cause is particularly close to our hearts as the Rob Burrow MND Centre is set to open later this year at Seacroft Hospital.

The MND Association works tirelessly to improve care, fund research, and campaign on behalf of everyone affected by MND across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
