Sarkies' (Sako / Stephen ) fundraiser for Royal Society for Blind Children

Sarkies Stephen is raising money for Royal Society for Blind Children

Cycling from London to Amsterdam

RSBC believe every blind child and their family should have the skills and confidence they need to live their life without limits. We work with blind children and young people and their families to develop the skills they need to overcome the barriers to realising their hopes, dreams and ambitions.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page and for helping me to raise money for the Royal Society for Blind Children.

For those who don't know me, I am an 85 years young cyclist! Last year I cycled unsupported from London (Ealing to be precise) to Paris, for Alzheimer’s & Mental health charities. Now I have decided to cycle unsupported from London to Amsterdam in aid of the Royal Society for Blind Children. The distance is about 340 miles, taking the Dover to Calais ferry and then following the coast all the way.

I believe no child in the UK should grow up to be poor or lonely just because they are blind. However 90% of those who lose their sight in youth won’t work for more than six months in their lives and most will never have someone to share their life with.

By donating today you can help make sure every single blind child has the self-belief and skills to fulfil the potential we know they’ve got.

I would be very grateful for any donations you would like to make and for your support!

Wish me luck!
