Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.

As many will know, we lost my Grandad Roy in 2018 to MND. It was an awful time for our family watching the disease take over and eventually win.

Since my Grandads passing, I have met and spoken to a lot of people who have or have had loved ones with MND. Unfortunately, the consensus is that the disease is still not spoken about enough. However, the tide seems to be changing.

Now being part of a rugby family, it has been highlighted to me and I have seen first hand, all the amazing work and awareness that the Rugby community have been doing in the past few years and months. Especially, the late Rob Burrows & Doddy Weir, Kevin Sinfield and Ed Slater. And thanks to them more and more people are recognising and fundraising for the disease!

My friends and family will know I’m not a runner but I am determined to take this amazing opportunity that the MND Association have given me! I want to raise as much money as possible to provide further support to families and sufferers and to provide funding for the much needed research into the disease.

Please if you could donate anything you can! I promise to share my journey to the marathon (and who knows maybe beyond)

Sasha❤️
