Story
Back in 2016 I started having frequent stomach issues and attended the doctors numerous times over a 5 year period being told it was just severe anxiety. In 2021 I was finally referred to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy and pill camera and was diagnosed with Crohns disease. Since 2021 I have been on 6 different medications, several courses of steroids and I am currently injecting myself with Adalimumab to control the disease and symptoms.
Living with the physical and mental symptoms daily means I know first hand how important the research is to ensure a cure can be found for crohns and other bowel diseases as soon as possible.
