Story
Julie, Hannah, and Laura are taking on the challenge of running lake Vyrnwy ½ marathon in four weeks’ time! (15/09/2024). They are running to raise money for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Charity – namely the research pot.
Raising money for clinical research is essential for driving medical progress, improving patient care, and addressing critical health challenges. It helps provide researchers with the resources needed to explore new ideas, test new treatments, and ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of people worldwide.
The Research and Innovation department at SaTH support commercial and non-commercial clinical trials across Generic medicine, Oncology, and Women's and Children's. We play a vital role in advancing medical research, improving patient care and supporting the continuous development of healthcare services within the region, as well as contributing to the global picture of health.
Raising money for our R&I Charity can help us further support training and development of healthcare professionals in research. Also, to support our focus on public and patient involvement and engagement in our trust, ensuring that research conducted is relevant and beneficial to our local community.
Please consider donating to our cause – anything big or small is greatly appreciated.
