Millie & Ralph's Sausage Walk, Partnered with Sausage Fest!

We are thrilled to be hosting a special fundraising walk in support of Shooting Star Children's Hospice. Inspired by their uplifting "Step into Spring" campaign, we wanted to create our own event to help raise vital funds for this incredible place.

Ralph and I are proud volunteers at the hospice, where we visit regularly to bring comfort and joy to children, their loved ones, and the dedicated staff. Shooting Star Children's Hospice is a truly magical place, and it's an honour to play even a small role in supporting the remarkable care they provide.

Ralph's journey as a therapy dog is especially close to my heart. During my 127-day hospital admission, I had the chance to meet a PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog — a moment that gave me the strength to keep fighting and inspired me to one day have a dog of my own. That dream became a reality 18 months ago when Ralph was born, and now I know firsthand just how powerful the presence of a therapy dog can be. Being able to give back what someone once gave me is an incredibly special feeling.

It's heartwarming to see the smiles Ralph brings to everyone he meets — their faces light up the moment they see him, and it’s a privilege to be part of those moments of joy and comfort.

To make this event even more special, we’re teaming up with Sausage Fest (@sausagefestevents) to create a walk especially for dachshunds. It's set to be a wonderful day filled with wagging tails, happy hearts, and a fantastic opportunity to support a cause so close to our hearts.
