We are raising funds for Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub, an essential place in the centre of Hemel Hempstead where people can come together, feel supported, and get the help they need.

This community space means so much to so many, and with your help we can continue building a warm, inclusive environment for everyone who walks through the door. Our goal is to raise £25,000 to support the growth and sustainability of this important cause.

Recently we met as trustees to look at our very tight finances and consider whether we should close the Tea Rooms - we decided not to and since that conversation we have set about cutting costs and building closer partnership with churches across Hemel to get more people involved. But we are still very low on finances while we wait for the changes to take effect and so we wanted to invite people to donate.

We are not exaggerating when we say that your donations right now are critically important to the survival of the Tea Rooms and without them we might not be able to carry on.

If you're new to the Tea Rooms here's more about what we've done recently...

- We help our clients go debt free, having cleared £63,926 of debt over the last two years. Since we opened our doors we’ve helped clients to remove close to £3.2m of debt.

- We gave 252 pay it forward meals to people in need.

- We provide food bank parcels.

- We provide Occupational Therapy support to our clients.

It is only a small charity but the team are deeply committed to its cause.
