Savills Cardiff fundraising for Special Care Infant Parent Support (SCIPS)

Savills Cardiff is raising money for Special Care Infant Parent Support (SCIPS)

Padel Event · 30 April 2026

SCIPS was set up to support parents whose babies require neonatal intensive care services at The University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Money raised is used not only for vital life saving equipment, but also for the extra little touches, such as soft furnishings for the nurseries and parent areas, keepsake boxes, bereavement packs, first diaries and nursey fittings etc. Anything to make the parents and siblings stay on the unit a bit easier. We contribute to the Annual Remembrance Service for loved and lost babies. Volunteers help the charity to hold social events to bring families together throughout the year. This includes monthly coffee mornings, Easter Egg hunt, Teddy Bear’s picnic & Christmas party for parents to come together, share their experiences and offer support to one another. SCIPS also supports training and education needs of the staff on the unit.

Story

We are raising funds for SCIPS, a charity in support of the NICU at University Hospital Wales who provide extraordinary and invaluable care.

“Last year, my wife Bertie and I welcomed our son, Ted Morgan Griffin. Ted needed specialist care following his birth and the dedication, professionalism, and compassion shown by every member of staff was truly outstanding. In addition to excellent medical skill, their commitment to kindness and reassurance through every step makes a life-changing difference to families during incredibly difficult and emotional times.

By fundraising we would like to help support the amazing staff, provide vital resources, and ensure that other families continue to receive the same exceptional care that Ted did.

Any donation is hugely appreciated and can be made at the link below.” - Ross Griffin, Director, Savills Cardiff
