Beatson Cancer Charity supports people affected by cancer, every step of the way. We make the journey easier by transforming the way cancer care is funded and delivered. We provide services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year, 6 members of staff from 2 of our Scotland offices will be waltzing right out of our comfort zones onto the dancefloor to take part in Strictly Beatson on Saturday 12th October.

For 6 months, Abby, Dwayne, Huw, Laura, Peter & Vivienne, will be training alongside professional dancers learning a routine to perform on the night, competing against 5 other companies.

All of this will be for the benefit of the Beatson Cancer Charity; a charity that Savills holds close to it's heart.

The Beatson rely on fundraising to continually improve and finance the services they provide to those living with cancer.

They are currently appealing for funds to purchase Hypersight, a new high-quality imaging system with planning software which allows clinicians to adapt treatment plans inside the treatment room. This machinery, which will be the first of it's kind in Scotland, ensures incredible accuracy of radiotherapy beams on tumours throughout treatment, as well as a more comfortable experience for those receiving treatment...but at a cost of around £400,000, it doesn't come cheap! Find out more here: https://www.beatsoncancercharity.org/hypersight/

Please donate whatever you're able to, no matter how small, and know that any donation you make goes towards making a difference to cancer patients and the treatments that the Beatson are able to provide them.

Thanks!
