Support the Sawyer Family to find a cure for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). Our dad Colin was taken far too soon from us after a short battle with this cruel and currently untreatable disease.

CJD is a degenerative brain disorder that affects 1 in a million people and is caused by abnormal proteins called prions. These prions build up in the brain and cause rapid damage. In our Dad’s case, it took just four weeks from his first symptom, and one week from his diagnosis, to the moment we lost him.

Every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. So no family has to deal with this horrible disease, we aim to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD.
