Sands' Memory Boxes
As a babyloss sufferer, I believe that every parents should be given the opportunity to help them through their baby loss journey and as a Sands South Asian roundtable member I believe that those memories are very important, especially. That's why for my current book release, True Love Again, I am raising funds to give bereaved parents a gift of a memory box.
Sands provide a Memory Box with some key items, a soft white blanket knitted by volunteers, hand and footprint kit, birth certificate, baby details book, heart in their hand, and a pair of bears to parents to create a bond with the child they'd hoped to bring home but could not. It is the beginning of the process of grieving and a connection to the child they've lost.
Each box cost £25 and my aim is not only to raise awareness but also to raise funds to provide as many parents as possible with a memory box.
Thank you for helping me get this vital memory aid for parents who are struggling to come to terms with baby loss.
