I'm taking part in the November Knitting Challenge to support families facing dementia.

Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia and I personally have experience of people I once knew, change beyond recognition. It’s a life-changing condition and too often, families struggle to know where to turn and are left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and alone.

I will be knitting everyday in November and hope you can support me in any little way you can. With your help, we can support more families when they need it most.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
