If you can spare it, please consider donating.
This year, John Loudon & his oldest son Scott Loudon will be taking on Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK) to raise money for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland), a charity close to my heart. Every step up the mountain will be in support of children, adults, and families who face daily challenges with strength and determination.
We aim to raise £1345 for SBH £1 for every Meter of ascent!
Why Ben Nevis? Why SBH Scotland?
There’s a powerful connection here. Sir Hugh Munro, the man who charted Scotland’s highest peaks, battled chronic illness throughout his youth. Yet he became a pioneering mountaineer, proving that our challenges don’t define our potential.
That same spirit lives in the work of SBH Scotland. They support individuals and families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus - conditions that bring real, everyday obstacles. But with the right care, community, and encouragement, those affected can lead full, empowered lives.
Together, we are unstoppable.
SBH Scotland ensures no one is left behind because of their disability. They provide vital information, one-to-one support, and welcoming groups where children and adults can be themselves, where they can feel proud of who they are.
So they can feel unstoppable.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re not just sponsoring a hike. You’re standing alongside people overcoming adversity with courage and grit.
Please donate if you can. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
Let’s climb this mountain together - literally and figuratively.💙
