Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In May I will be swimming in the strokes of local hero Captain Webb and swimming the distance of the English Channel, approx 21 miles which equates to 33,796 metres or 1,351 lengths of a 25m pool. I am raising funds to support a local children’s charity, Shropshire Deaf Children’s Society. This is charity provides invaluable support for parents, friends and professionals in Shropshire (including T&W) who care for children with hearing impairments. This is a charity which is close to my heart as they have always been there for a close friend of my mum’s who discovered her child was severely deaf at the age of 3 and underwent an invasive procedure to install cochlear implants in both ears. They do amazing work in the area for local families and I hope you can support me in raising much needed funds to continue the fantastic work they do.
