Story

Colleagues from The School of Nursing and Midwifery will be taking part in the Team Challenge, which will run over 24 hours, starting on Friday 6 June to Saturday 7 June 2025 at Lakeside Campus.

The team compromises of Sarah Hughes, Geraldine Lucas, Jenna Bayliss, Sue Thomas, Jenny Pinfield, Kyra Gould, Louise Toft, Amanda Griffin, Kimberley Stokes, Caroline Waldron, Jessica Underwood

We'll be raising money for student scholarships and student hardship fund for University of Worcester students.

The team will compete in a series of events over the 24 hours including:

A 19 -mile night walk across the Malvern Hills - Starting at

Chase End Street (Barn) where will hit 3 beacons, Midsummer Hill, Herefordshire Beacon, Worcestershire Beacon and Exit from track to North Quarry Car Park and walk down through Powick to the Worcester Rowing Club.

Some of the team will then participate with the other teams in a Canoe race from the Rowing Club to Diglis Basin and back roughly 1.5miles.

As soon as the race has finished we will be walking over to Severn Campus, where half the team will be playing Wheelchair basketball and the other half will be competing in a strength and conditioning Ultra Fit Session.

Once each team has completed those events we will be going straight to lake side there will be a lake swim of 400metres.

We will then be participating in a variety of events including climbing wall/zipwire challenge & water assault course, finishing off as a team with a 100m tractor pull.

All of this in 24 hours.
