Story
This year, after a good number of years of not doing anything remotely challenging, i have decided to take up a couple of challenges in memory of Daniel Sugrue, who tragically lost his fight with mental health on 28 July 2024.
Many of you supported Phil and Mike when they laced up their running shoes over the last 2 years, taking part in 2 Half Marathons, so i felt that the time was right that i pull my weight (And lose some) to raise funds for the charity and in memory of Daniel.
I will be taking on 2 challenges to raise money for Place2Be, a wonderful charity that gives support to children and young adults suffering from mental health problems.
The first challenge, and one which is no easy feat, is the London Marathon. Following some hydration and recovery, 2 weeks later myself, my 2 brothers and a very close friend will take on the Edinburgh 24 hour ultra as a team where we will take turns at running around Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh constantly for 24 hours. We do like to push ourselves!
Any support you can give to Place2Be is very much appreciated and will keep me going through both of these events.
As Phil and Mike said in their fund-raising page, most importantly please try to positively impact someone's day - you could make the difference to someone that is struggling.
