Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In a little over a week, on 12th October, I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon. This is an event I did last year with little training as a last minute reserve. Having run more regularly over the last 12 months, I am looking forward to giving it a good go this year.
As some of you will know, Lisa's Uncle Steven was born Cerebral Palsy and has been in a wheelchair for a long number of years. Cerebral Palsy affects 130,000 adults in the UK. It presents in childhood, and at that stage, is rightly given coordinated care. Then at 18, you are no longer under paediatric services, and the support structure disappears. Cerebral Palsy is a lifelong condition, yet the way healthcare is provided to adults with CP is as if the condition has miraculously disappeared.
UP are in existence to raise awareness of the above, build community and campaign for change.
All money is appreciated! The plan is to go sub-1:35 Let's see what happens on the day!
Thanks,
Scott
