Hey team! This year we couldn't hold our annual Christmas Eve swim but there is still an awesome opportunity to support our community through donations to support the Montgomery County Food Bank. The Food Bank's mission is to unite the community to fight hunger. They do this by providing nutritious food to more than 85,000 children, families, veterans, and seniors in need of food assistance every month!

I am honored to serve the Food Bank as a Board member and a volunteer. Because I wholeheartedly believe in their mission, and have seen the good work they do in our community first-hand, I will MATCH EVERY DOLLAR raised from Valhalla/Valkyrie and Push Glide Kick.

BUT WAIT! We have also arranged so that total we raise, including my match, will be matched by the Food Bank's Holiday Match sponsors. That means your donation goes FOUR TIMES AS FAR. So, if we reach our goal of raising $2500 times 2 and times 2 AGAIN, the Food Bank would actually receive $10,000 - that's 40,000 MEALS to our neighbors in need!

Food insecurity can be a bit hidden when you live in the south county like many of us do but it is real. The Food Bank sees a dramatic increase in need for food assistance during the holidays, as this season can be especially challenging for the neighbors they serve. For this reason, I am inviting you to join us in the fight against hunger by donating to this Holiday Match campaign.
