🥊 WHITE COLLAR BOXING FOR HEART HEROES ❤️

On 21st November, I’ll be stepping into the boxing ring for a White Collar Boxing event — and I’ll be doing it to raise money for a charity that is extremely close to my heart, Heart Heroes. ❤️

White Collar Boxing is amateur boxing for people with non-fighting professional careers. We train for several weeks before taking part in a regulated boxing match, all while raising money for charity.

For me, choosing Heart Heroes was an incredibly personal decision.

Heart Heroes supports children and families living with heart conditions, helping bring families together, providing support and creating opportunities for families to make memories together.

Heart Heroes is particularly close to my heart because Laura’s son, and Ellie’s brother, Leo, lives with a heart condition. He requires daily medication and regular monitoring throughout the day to help prevent him going into SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). He has previously experienced an episode that led to cardiac arrest, so we know only too well how frightening and serious heart conditions can be for a child and their family.

Being part of Heart Heroes has allowed us to see first-hand the importance of having a community around families who are going through something that can often feel incredibly isolating.

I’m also proud to be involved with the East Devon Heart Heroes Hub, where Laura and Claire are the hub coordinators. Throughout the year, we organise events and activities that give heart families the opportunity to come together, meet other families who understand what they’re going through, and simply enjoy being together.

I also regularly bring along my bouncy castle to help make these events extra special for the children. 🏰❤️

So, on 21st November, I’ll be putting myself through the training, stepping into the ring and giving it everything I’ve got — not just for the challenge, but for the children and families who Heart Heroes supports.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Heart Heroes continue bringing families together and supporting them through what can be an incredibly difficult journey.
