My Sierra Leone Marathon for Street Child

Sierra Leone Marathon & Cycle Challenge 2024 · 5 May 2024 ·
Hello! My Name is Scott and I am a member of the Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative and this year I have decided to get my running shoes back on and challenge myself and hopefully raise money for a worthwhile cause.
Street-Child are a charity working hard to help out some of the worlds most vulnerable communities. Their aim is to see all children safe, in school and learning - particularly in low resource environments. They work with local organisations to ensure every child has access to an education
Over a 30 day period this spring I will take part in three separate events.
Starting on 27th and 28th April with the Run Balmoral Devil of Deeside. Consisting of four races over two days. 5K, 10K, 15Mile and duathlon featuring a 16K mountain biking stage with a 6k run to start and a 5k run to finish.
I then set off for the Sierra Leone Marathon & cycle challenge where on 5th May I will take part in the Duathlon a (42km & 21km run) during my stay in Sierra Leone I will also get the opportunity to visit projects supported by street child.
I then have three weeks to recover before taking part in the Edinburgh marathon on 26th May.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Street Child, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity, it truly does mean a lot!
