Story

Thanks for supporting my fundraising. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.

That's why Macmillan will do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.

For those uninitiated, as part of this fundraising event, I, alongside several members of the UK rhythm game community, will be playing Dance Dance Revolution (an arcade dancing video game, and also known as DDR) all throughout the day, as a way of “marathoning” it.

Everyone in our team, PlayForCharity, has decided to set a personal, DDR-related goal for themselves to meet during the event: seeing as I have both average skill (compared to my peers) and average stamina when it comes to DDR, I've decided to make my goal clearing at least 50 songs rated a difficulty of 6 or higher throughout the day.

This is kind of low compared to what most regular DDR players typically play, so I might just up the minimum difficulty to 10 once we hit the 2/3 mark to my fundraising target: here's what a level 10 DDR chart might look like! (https://youtu.be/rWMcIqoKq4g?si=1pLYzVjySHn_q8GB)

Part of the reason why I've decided to support Macmillan Cancer Support is in memoriam of my late uncle Christophe, who tragically passed away due to cancer in late October 2022.
