Story

SPONSOR ME TO DO MY HOBBY… FOR CHARITY!

Usually, when people do a charity challenge, it’s something gruelling, something they hate—like running a marathon dressed as a fridge or sitting in a bath full of beans. Me? I’m just… running. Which, let’s be honest, is a bit of a swindle because I love running.

Anyway, I need your help. I’m running the Great West Half Marathon to raise money for Open Door Exmouth—a brilliant charity that helps homeless people, struggling families, and anyone in need of support. A genuinely worthy cause.

So, let’s acknowledge the irony: I’m essentially asking for sponsorship to do something I was going to do anyway. It’s like me saying, “Oi, sponsor me to eat cake!” or “Chuck us a fiver while I watch Netflix.”

Now, I was going to ask you to donate the price of a beer… but have you seen beer prices lately? I want to raise money for charity, not bankrupt you. So, let’s keep it simple—just the price of a coffee. A small one. No syrups. Maybe just half a cup if times are tight.

Every little bit helps, and it all goes to Open Door Exmouth, who are out there doing the hard work—helping the homeless, supporting families, and making the world a better place.

Donate below, share this post, and let’s turn my leisurely hobby into some real support for people who need it.
