Story
This charity is incredibly close to my heart. For a long time, I have lived with—and continue to fight—my own mental health challenges. While it’s something many may not have known about me, it is a journey that never truly ends.
Since being diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), I have grown immensely. Through the vital support of charities like Mind and the strength of my loved ones, I have learned how to manage my mental health and keep moving forward.
Sadly, I have also lost loved ones to mental health struggles and know all too well that the 'black dog' is never far away. Talking and sharing my story has been a huge part of my healing, and now I want to give back. By riding from London to Brighton, I hope to raise funds that enable Mind to continue being a lifeline for others, ensuring no one has to face these battles alone.
Taking on 54 miles in the saddle is a huge physical challenge for me, as I am not getting any younger and have not trained for some time due to other health issues. However in comparison to the mental hurdles many face every day this ride is a challenge I am lucky to be able to take on, and every mile I pedal is for those still searching for the support they deserve.
Please help me raise as much money as I can, every donation will be gratefully received however big or small it may be. If you are a UK taxpayers please tick the Gift Aid box, by doing so this adds 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for your continued support ;-)
