Help Bring Christmas Joy to the Children and Teachers of the Future Leaders Schools Project, Accra

This Christmas, I’m raising funds to host a Christmas party for the children and teachers connected to the Future Leaders Schools Project in Accra, Ghana — a community that has truly captured my heart.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of visiting the school twice, spending time with the students in their classrooms, playing with them in the courtyard, and seeing firsthand the incredible work the teachers do every single day. Each visit has been a reminder of how powerful education, kindness, and human connection can be.

Being welcomed so warmly by the children — with laughter, songs, and endless energy — is something I’ll never forget. These kids are bright, joyful, curious, and full of potential. Their teachers work tirelessly to support them, often with extremely limited resources.

This year, I want to help make sure every child and every teacher feels celebrated, appreciated, and surrounded by joy.

I am looking to raise £1,000 to celebrate Christmas with 500 children and teachers.

🎄 A festive Christmas meal for the children and the teaching staff

🎁 A small gift for each child, so every student has something of their own to open

🙏 A gesture of thanks for the teachers, who give so much of themselves to their students

For many of the children, this will be one of the happiest days of their year — a chance to simply be kids, enjoy good food, and share a moment of joy with their friends and teachers.

The Future Schools Project is working hard to build opportunities for young people in Accra, but funding is always a challenge. A Christmas celebration might seem simple, but the impact is powerful: it reminds every child that they are valued, supported, and surrounded by people who believe in them.

Having spent time with these wonderful children, I know how deeply a moment of celebration can resonate.
