Why I’m Running for Asthma + Lung UK (Again!) 🏃♀️💜
Yes… I’m back! I’m running the London Marathon for the second year in a row — and some might say that makes me a little crazy. But honestly? I couldn’t resist the chance to lace up once more for a cause that means so much to me.
Last year, I ran in memory of Iain Small — someone who believed passionately in supporting Asthma + Lung UK and who absolutely loved the buzz of events like this. Continuing to raise money for a charity he cared about feels like a meaningful way to honour his spirit, his kindness, and his joy for life. It’s my way of celebrating him with every mile.
This year, I’ve set myself a huge personal challenge: a sub-4-hour marathon. It won’t be easy — training through the inevitable ups and downs, pushing my limits, and keeping my legs moving when they’re screaming to stop — but I’m determined to give it everything I’ve got.
Asthma + Lung UK do incredible work supporting the millions of people in the UK affected by lung conditions. They fund essential research, push for better care, and provide vital help to those who struggle to breathe every day. Every pound donated helps them continue that life-changing work. Last year, I raised over £4000 and this total still BLOWS MY MIND! What can we achieve this year?
So I’m back for round two:
🔥 More miles
🔥 More determination
🔥 More fundraising for a cause that truly matters
If you’re able to support me — whether that’s through a donation or cheering me on — it would mean the world. Let’s do this for everyone who fights each day just to take a breath… and for Iain, who inspired this journey.
Thank you so much 💙
Here’s to crossing that finish line — faster, stronger, and with purpose.
