This October, Wear it Pink is deeply personal for us at Scott Duff & Co.

Over the past year, breast cancer stopped being an abstract statistic or an awareness campaign - it landed directly on our doorstep. Our Director, Cheryl, has been walking through the reality of multiple surgeries, intensive chemotherapy, and the life-altering turns of this disease first-hand. We therefore know how brutally tough the treatment is, but we also know the vital importance of the ongoing research, care, and community support that carry people through their darkest days.

Tragically, this week brought home the stark, heart-breaking reality of why this work matters so desperately. Cheryl has just said goodbye to a dear, courageous friend who shared this path with her over the last year - an incredible woman whose strength, grace, and light touched everyone around her. Her loss is an agonizing reminder that breast cancer still takes far too much, far too soon.

We are taking part in Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink day not just to raise awareness, but to honour those who have fought with everything they had, to stand beside those currently in the thick of treatment, and to fund the research that will save lives in the future.
