Story
On the 29th of October 2022, we lost our angel Scott after a long and hard fought battle with illness. As we approach the one year anniversary of Scott’s passing we want to celebrate and remember him in a number of different ways.
For two years our family got to witness first hand the amazing work that goes on in our countries children’s hospitals. We were blessed with the greatest care for Scott and got to meet some of the most caring and kind people during our time in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Not many people will ever understand the daily sacrifices that staff, sick children and their families make beyond the hospital walls.
On the 29th of October 2023 exactly one year from Scott’s passing, Scott's brother Alex, will be running the Dublin Marathon in memory of our Scotty and in support of the Children’s Health Foundation. Scott always said that one day he wanted to give back to the hospital to ensure that every sick child and their family would be given the best possible chance in their fight. We are delighted to fulfil that commitment in his honour.
Each and every day across CHI hospitals and urgent care centres in Connolly, Crumlin, Tallaght and Temple Street, sick children and their worried parents are coming through the doors in need of world-class paediatric care and treatment. Your support helps fund essential, urgent and life-saving work by raising the funds needed and makes a real and lasting difference in the lives of sick children.
Any support and donations big or small for this wonderful charity will go to an excellent cause. Every sick child deserves the best possible chance at life.
Thank you for your generosity.
