Story
Stiamo guidando queste auto da Sheffield a Roma. 1300 miglia per raccogliere fondi per i senzatetto nel Regno Unito. Per favore, fai una donazione se puoi.
Enicor has partnered with Shelter, the national housing and homelessness charity, setting a whopping challenge to raise over £25,000. After seeing a rise in people sleeping rough on the streets and under bridges, as our team drives up and down the country delivering materials and collecting scrap, we wanted to make a difference.
A team of nine from Enicor's Derbyshire Head Office will drive three scrap cars across England, France and Northern Italy over five days, from 13-18th March, in a race to help this important cause.
Each car was purchased for around £800 and by the time we've crossed the line, we'll have clocked 1931 miles in total (with a support vehicle in tow for predicted breakdowns!). We'll visit scrap yards along the way and some of Shelter's community hubs, starting with our local hub in Sheffield. Then over to Birmingham, down to London and Basildon and over to France, before completing the journey in Rome.
Sheffield's Shelter hub supports local people facing homelessness, with a particular focus on women and children and people with multiple disadvantage. Shelter is about more than just housing and they provide holistic support to those who need help. This could mean helping with anything from paying bills, providing food and cooking to supporting with medical appointments and school enrolments.
£25,000 could fund:
- 862 calls to Shelter's helpline / 6 days of the helpline fully running
- 417 hours of legal representation
- Help fund an emergency helpline adviser for 1 year
- Pay for Shelter's advisors to sit down with 600 clients.
Please help us achieve our target and make a donation now.
