Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm very lucky that my brush with eczema, mainly as a child, was fairly limited. It was inconvenient at times and often a bit painful, but it didn't really hold me back. In later life, with insight into a far more serious case, I started to understand what a complete mess severe eczema can make of a life. Looking for support and practical advice, I came across the National Eczema Society. It was pretty clear that they really understood how debilitating that eczema can be for those unfortunate enough to be visibly or otherwise badly affected.
One thing I couldn't really do as a kid was exercise. Anyone with eczema will tell you how uncomfortable and sore that sweat can make you, and that's my excuse for being the slightly lardy shape that I am (although the vending machine at work also has some responsibility). To develop some good fitness habits I've started to do a bit of running, and been persuaded to enter the Lincoln 10K in April. I'd be pleased and very honoured if you'd help me celebrate in optimistic hope of this achievement with a donation to the National Eczema Society. Please join me in helping them to help others to deal with the physical and (often) mental impact of this condition.
