Story
We’re a group of Luton Town fans, fundraising to enable a team of street children from the favelas of Rio to get to and participate in the Street Child United Football World Cup 2026 in Mexico. £100 gives a street-connected young person a birth certificate and passport, allowing them to travel and participate and to access healthcare, education, and social services.
We’re committed to raising an initial £5000 by the end of October: the first step on the way to our overall target of £15,000. Please support this urgent appeal – any amount helps! Thank you.
In 2026 teams of street children -boys and girls - from more than 20 countries will head to Mexico to compete in the Street Child United World Cup.
One of our group visited the Street Child United project in Rio and saw what an amazing difference football and SCU are making to young lives - and how powerful an agent for change their presence in Mexico could be. Previous SCU World Cups have led to recognition and legislative rights for street children from participating teams worldwide….including the Pakistan Street Child team, who were guests of LTFC in the summer.
You can be somebody who helps SCU transform young lives - please support this appeal today!
