Story
in June 2025 I was given the great news that I was all clear from skin cancer on my head and face.
In late June I had some indigestion that didn’t respond to the normal remedies.
I was referred to a gastroenterologist. And after a Gastroscopy it was initially thought I had a stomach ulcer, biopsies were taken to confirm this. In late August I was given the diagnosis that the biopsies showed that I had cancer of the Lymph system, a Lymphoma which luckily for me because I’d caught it early was isolated in my stomach.
I was to be under Haematology at Blackpool Victoria hospital. And I was to have 6 sessions of R-CHP chemotherapy. This would be every 21 days starting on the 31/10/2025.
And I would like to thank my family and friends for helping me through this very difficult tiring time for everyone!
My last session of chemotherapy was on the 13/02/2026. This was followed by the normal 21 days of oral meds, and injections. And a further 3 weeks, and then I had a radioactive MRI.
I saw my haematology consultant on the 09/04/2026 to be given the amazing news that I was clear of cancer!!! And I would now be on 3 monthly checks.
Everyone I met during my treatment journey in the Macmillan Windmill unit, and the Haematology day unit at the Blackpool Vic were some of the most incredible, tolerant, and downright nice people I have ever met. Thank you all so much!!!!
And thank you to everyone who has supported me, and also for donating to the amazing job that Lymphoma Action do.
