12-Hour Treadmill Challenge for Veterans

Seamus Ellis is raising money for The Veterans Association

12-Hour Treadmill Challenge for Veterans · 15 November 2025

We provide support to men and women who have served in the armed services or their families. We can support with counselling, housing, education and employment. We run weekly coffee mornings in our local community hubs as a place for veterans to come together.

Story

My name is Seamus Ellis, and I’m proud to have served in the Royal Engineers. During my time in the British Army, I was deployed on Op Cabrit 6 in Estonia as part of NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence, and later on Op Rescript, supporting the NHS at Brighton Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Saturday 15th November 2025, I’ll be taking on a huge challenge at FitUnion Gym and Fitness Centre, 3 Surrey Gardens, Birchington CT7 9SA, I will be active on a treadmill for 12 hours straight.

To keep spirits high, there’ll be a second treadmill next to me, open for anyone who wants to jump in for a 30-minute slot to show support and help push me through the miles.

I’m doing this because, as a veteran, I know first-hand the importance of community, resilience, and support. That’s why I now dedicate my time to volunteering and fundraising for The Veterans Association, helping those who’ve served our country when they need it most.

Every donation... big or small... will directly support veterans through grants, housing help, community projects, and wellbeing services.

Thank you for standing with me and helping make a real difference.
