Story
My name is Seamus and I am running 26.2 miles in the 2024 TCS London Marathon to support the MS Society.
A few years ago I lost my mother to the awful disease which is MS. Her name was Eileen and was only 64 when she passed away. After looking after her own mother, who also had MS, for 44 years she also nursed my father back to health after he sustained a serious head injury through a bus crash back in 1997.
I was meant to run the London Marathon but Covid stopped me. So now I've deferred my place till the 2024 London Marathon. It will be my first marathon at the tender age of 40 (watch out Mo). It should be a great experience.
Please donate what you can to this hard working charity.
Thanks for reading,
Seamie
MS is an unpredictable and incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include sight loss, incontinence, fatigue and mobility problems. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.
The MS Society fund vital research into the causes of MS and possible treatments. They provide a helpline service, answering the calls of those looking for advice and support. They believe that together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
