Our team of Lullaby Heroes are taking on an epic challenge by running the London Marathon!

Story

I'm going to be part of Team Lullaby and running the London Marathon in 2025.

The Lullaby Trust is a charity that saves babies' lives and supports bereaved families. Around 3 babies a week still die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), The Lullaby Trust is committed to bringing that number down to zero.

My wife Briony and I have a personal connection to The Lullaby Trust having lost our baby boy Toby in February 2021. Toby passed away unexpectedly in a fabric sling after gifting us with two and a half months of pure joy as our first born baby. He was a bright and happy little baby who should still be with us today.

I will be forever thankful for the support we received from Lullaby Trust who provided invaluable guidance and signposting during the initial stages of grief. They also promote the safe use of slings and babycarriers which is vitally important. If you're a new parent or know any new parents, I urge you to read and follow the TICKS guidance if you use a baby carrier, it's available via the website below:

https://www.lullabytrust.org.uk/safer-sleep-advice/product-information/swaddling-slings/

I will be raising awareness and funds that will be helping families who have lost a baby to receive specialist help, funding research to prevent more babies from dying suddenly and unexpectedly, and allowing more parents to receive advice on safer baby sleep.

Your kind support is crucial to creating a future where no baby dies suddenly and unexpectedly. The Lullaby Trust is reliant on voluntary donations so your generosity helps save lives.
