Sean's Cycle from London to Paris - For SANDS, in memory of Hugo

Story
This September (2024) my brother Adam and I will be taking on the challenge of cycling from London to Paris in memory of his son/my nephew, Hugo.
After a normal, healthy pregnancy Hugo was born on 8th December 2016, but tragically, serious birth complications meant that he suffered severe brain damage and passed away at two days old on 10th December 2016.
It is difficult to put into words what a devastating impact this has had, and the magnitude of Hugo’s life and death has been brought into even sharper focus for me since becoming a Dad myself.
In terms of the ride, our route will take us from London to Dover, across the Channel to Calais, and then down through the Somme, and eventually into Paris - a total distance of over 300 miles.
Despite my many years of cycling, this will be the first time I've done 4 consecutive days, and that many cumulative miles, so I'm looking forward to the challenge, and the satisfaction of rolling into Paris on the morning of Day 4.
